Our glandulars have been formulated to support a specific gland's natural function, whether overactive or underactive.

What is the source of your glandular products?
NatraBio^® uses only bovine products that have been collected under United States Department of Agriculture inspection. All animals receive pre and postmortem inspections and have been found suitable for human consumption. The plant which we obtain our bovine raw materials from is registered with both the USDA and the FDA.

Should I be concerned about the alcohol in the liquid formulas?
No. We utilize one of the most naturally-occurring forms of alcohol that nature can provide at no more than 20% by volume. This is done in compliance with FDA manufacturing regulations in order to preserve the product. And, since only a few drops are taken at one time , the alcohol's effect on the body is negligible. In fact, an entire 3 - 4 week supply of NatraBio^® liquids contain only one teaspoon of alcohol. Other companies may vary their alcohol content.

60 drops of medication taken in the course of a 16 hour day results in less than 0.4 ml of alcohol. There is about the same amount of alcohol present in a slice of raised bread or 2 servings of ripe fruit.

The alcohol used in NatraBio^® products is a pharmaceutical grade ethyl alcohol distilled from wood pulp in the process used for manufacturing paper. NatraBio^® does not use grain alcohol.

Should I be concerned about side effects?
No. Combination Homeopathic medicines combine minute doses of natural ingredients into one formula. Conventional drugs rely on strength to overpower a symptom. In the process, there can be side effects and toxicity problems. Homeopathic medicines work at the cellular level by stimulating the body's own natural healing ability. They provide an effective therapeutic response using a catalytic effect instead of symptom suppression, so homeopathics are inherently safe.

If I take a conventional drug and a homeopathic medicine, is there a possibility of drug interactions or other side effects?

How to Use Homeopathic Medicines

Because of the small quantities of active medicine in homeopathic remedies, the medicines should not be immediately swallowed nor taken with any fluids. One should avoid eating, drinking, and brushing their teeth 30 minutes prior to and following the taking of a homeopathic medicine. If tablets are used, chew one tablet slightly and allow it to dissolve in the mouth as directed on the product label.

NatraBio^® liquid medicines should be placed under the tongue or side of the cheek with a dropper. Avoid placing glass dropper against lip, teeth, or tongue, as this will diminish the effectiveness of or damage the tincture. Twenty percent alcohol is used in these formulas to help facilitate rapid absorption of the medicine into the mucous membrane. This liquid medicine should remain in the mouth for 30 seconds before swallowing. For dosage frequency, follow the label instructions. As a general rule, if an ailment is chronic in nature, use 10 to 15 drops or one tablet 4 times a day. If the ailment is acute (severe) like a cold or flares up like arthritis, use 10 drops or fewer, or one tablet every hour or two until the symptoms are reduced. According the warnings provided on each label, should symptoms worsen or persist, a physician or health care provider should be consulted.

The frequency in which a homeopathic medicine is taken is definitely more crucial to the body's natural healing ability than the amount of homeopathic medicine taken. Increasing the frequency of drops or tablets strengthen a remedy's effect, especially for acute ailments. There is never a concern about overdosing or experiencing side-effects with homeopathy, so this should not be a limiting factor.

Homeopathic remedies can be used as long as it takes to bring the body back into balance. If the ailment has been long in duration, then likely the cure will take a long time also. The period of usage will vary from person to person and from ailment to ailment. Some people feel better within three doses. Others may take months.

Note: We have found it more convenient and have obtained better results when taking homeopathics just before going to bed (one-half hour after brushing teeth) and first thing in the morning (before eating).  Some people have obtained better results by leaving 6 to 9 hours before and/or after using bovine colostrum.

How to Store Homeopathic Medicines

Keep all homeopathic medicines away from electrical frequencies, essential oils, and microwaves.  We recommend storing your homeopathics in an enclosed area, such as a linen closet, to prevent the product from accidentally being exposed to anything that could damage it.
